Ibiza is for RSVP-ing ‘Yes’ to life
There are places you visit to relax. Others to reflect. And then there’s Ibiza — the unapologetic, sun-drenched, glitter-dusted island that looks you dead in the eye and says, “You didn’t come here to be meh, did you?”
No, darling. You came to celebrate.
Not just birthdays or breakups or bachelorettes. You came to celebrate being alive — in all your complicated, messy, glowing glory. And Ibiza, with its magnetic sunsets, reckless joy, and barefoot freedom, is the perfect partner in that dance.
So if you’re not in the mood for silent retreats or self-help spirals, but instead want to say a big, barefoot yes to life — here’s your guide.
Skip to:
1. Watch the Sunset at Es Vedrà
Not just a view — a moment. Es Vedrà sits like a myth, and the sun dips behind it like it knows it’s being watched. Bring cava. Bring company. Bring your best “this is what peace feels like” face.
2. Dance ‘til Dawn
Lose track of time. Find yourself on a rooftop. Dance next to a stranger who might be a poet or a hedge fund escapee. In Ibiza, nobody cares. That’s the beauty of it.
3. Float in Cala Comte
Turquoise water. Gold sand. Your only job is to float and sigh dramatically at the beauty of it all. (Bonus: your tan lines will be excellent.)
4. Brunch in Dalt Vila
Wander uphill in questionable sandals to find views, cava brunches, fantastic hotels and boutiques full of linen and dreams. This is your Mediterranean main character moment. Use it well.
5. Shop the Las Dalias Hippie Market
Leave with a kaftan you’ll only wear here and a bracelet that makes you believe in chakras. Let your style go full boho. You can be sensible when you go back to reality.
6. Drum Down the Sun at Benirràs
The sun sets. The drumming begins. Your body responds. It’s hypnotic, communal, raw. You’ll feel something ancient stir — or maybe it’s just the third mojito. Either way, go with it.
7. Take a Ferry (or Sail) to Formentera
It’s Ibiza’s dreamy little sister: quiet, bikeable, sun-kissed. Order grilled fish and wear your swimsuit under everything — just in case.
8. Eat Fish with Your Fingers on the Beach
Find a place with no menu and too much aioli. Order whatever they caught that day. Sit back, salty and satisfied, and toast to simplicity done well.
After all, Ibiza is a mood you catch. It’s the permission slip you didn’t know you needed to celebrate life, loosen your grip, and lean all the way in. Here, the sunsets clap back, the music finds your pulse, and even your food comes with a sea view and a side of poetry. So sip, swim, dance, drift. You’re not escaping life. You’re meeting it at full volume.
